So, I figured that the whole “don’t put it here” thing warnings were that you should not put the files in that root directory, and that putting them in the Plex directory was OK. After about a year, the issues with local accounts losing their rights got fixed, but only domain users got broken. The major implication back then was that the user rights would not carry over after an upgrade. Back when I put this on the NAS, those warnings were not there. So yes, I understand the workings of Plex.

I do not have the Plex servers in any special VLANs or anything, and they use the same DNS as my home network clients (not the same as guests or IoT devices).īest I can tell, my TV Show metadata and such are all working fine. Note that I run a pretty complex network at home, so we can go into that if needed, but for now I am not sure that it’s relevant. I was thinking maybe I had a DNS issue, I did have a problem a while back but I believe I have that issue resolved because no other devices are having any DNS issues. 15:00:21,338 (7f6d3ac97740) : CRITICAL (runtime:1299) - Exception getting hosted resource hashes (most recent call last): 14:40:34,373 (7feb2c987740) : CRITICAL (runtime:1299) - Exception getting hosted resource hashes (most recent call last):įile “/volume1/ Media Server/Resources/Plug-ins-c073686f2/Framework.bundle/Contents/Resources/Versions/2/Python/Framework/components/runtime.py”, line 1293, in get_resource_hashes When I open the movieposters log, I see this: I’ve been a Plex user from the very early days, so I’m not new to this.

My files are named properly, both the folders and the filenames are moviename (year). I tried creating a new folder for my movies, added it to a new category called Movies 2 (did not add to existing Movies selection) and this did not fix it. FYI - it is also not working on newly added movies, but also metadata that existed before is no longer present, it’s just gone. This was working fine until a couple of weeks ago, and I can’t for the life of me figure out what broke.

When I try to match anything for my Movies folder, I get an error that no matches are found. I’ve uploaded the logs, but I’d like to try and go through them and learn how they work, since this is the first time I’ve had any trouble.
